GENERAL SETUP OF THE MEMBER OF THE YEAR ELECTION

The Member of the year election is all about picking one winner from all Members of the month winners over the period of one year. Members can not be nominated for this Award, only winners of a Member of the month Award are eligible for competing in the race for the Member of the year Award.

All members eligible for a Member of the year Award are added to a poll. This poll is set up at the end of each year.

Members in the race for the Member of the year Award may not vote for themselves. Members caught voting for themselves are disqualified from the election.

Once a Member of the year is elected the poll closes. The winner of the Member of the year Award receives his/her Award.

IMPORTANT DETAILS ABOUT MEMBER OF THE YEAR AWARDS

Member of the year awards come in three flavours, a bronze, silver and gold edition.

• Bronze edition: given when a member wins the Member of the year award for the first time.
• Silver edition: given when a member wins the Member of the year award a second time.
• Gold edition: given when a member wins the Member of the year award a third time.
  

Once a member has won all editions of the Member of the year award it doesn't mean he or she can't still be elected. He or she can still be eligible for a Member of the year Award, but won't get any new awards if he or she wins.
