That's really big news. That show is HUGE.
Yeah, being on that show should give her some more exposure. And we actually have Grey's Anatomy on TV over here, so I get to watch that episode
Why would they pick a CBS star to be on an ABC show? Not that I'm complaining because it's good for her!!!!

Well apparently the producers of the show had her in mind specifically, so something about the character must have made them think of Kaley, that probably outweighs her being on another network. Plus the network being ABC & the studio being ABC Studios/Buena Vista, the people behind 8SR, she probably has a good relationship with the studio or folks there.
For anybody who thinks that Kaley's star and profile has not risen in the past two years here is your proof how it has risen. Here you have Grey's Anatomy, which is one of the top 5 shows on all of TV calling Kaley to do their show and without an audition. BBT has made her a bigger star. There is no way she gets this part without being in BBT first. It shows how producers of other shows have seen and noticed her. She is definitely on the rise.
I can never see her being this tabloid figure like Paris Hilton or Britney Spears, but that is fine. She does not need that. It is parts like this and BBT, of course, that has her taking off and becoming the big star she deserves to be.

I found this strange, too. Kaley is a Warner Bros. employee that appears on a CBS show, and yet she is about to appear on an ABC produced show on the ABC network. I guess her contract allows for her to appear on other shows on other networks. I know Summer Glau did BBT, and she is on a FOX show, but Terminator : The Sara Connor Chronicles is a Warner Bros. produced show so it was the same studio.
Nevertheless, Kaley will be on BBT for a long time to come, but I guess it it good that she will still be able to appear on other shows and work on other things, too.
I can't wait to see how far Kaley's career has gotten in say 5 or 10 years time. This is defferently good for her.
